Nintendo GameCube Preview Disc includes playable demos for five games: Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, Soulcalibur II, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, and Viewtiful Joe. It also includes several preview videos of GameCube games, and two bonus games that can be downloaded to a Game Boy Advance using the GBA cable.
Text ingame can randomly lose letters or add additional spaces. The start menu cutscene displays a black screen but plays audio perfect. If you pause ingame and hit End Game or finish the demo level, the start menu will have a large black square in the corner which goes away when you get ingame again.
When entering a stage, there's a chance the UI will not render, making it impossible to see lives, rings, time limit, etc. This also breaks text and the stage clear screens when it occurs.
No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title.

---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
4.0-4366 | Ubuntu 14.04 | Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 | Trailers/movies all display perfectly. Soulcalibur II and Viewtiful Joe demos perfect; full speed with no noticeable glitches. Billy Hatcher and Sonic Adventure DX have text issues, and Sonic Adventure's UI can fail to render. Sonic Adventure also can slow down to around 80% in some stages. All demos fully playable despite issues. | Xerxes |
